why do people impress when a medic student wanna learn bout management?

with the regard above...actually i dont have the answer too! hahahah...!!!
ok2 it wasnt funny at all right?.
its happened to me.
it started when i was stop by at a booth of educational magazine's subscription near my college. since i really wanna subscribe the Time magazine many years before but i dont get permission from my mom ( i was 16 and still dont get my own scholarship yet), so it kinda a lost for me. but this time,this moment i got my own money and freedom to make such action! yeah!
i was offered a free gift if i purchase one of the offers. i could choose any of these: a beg, a management novel the world is flat, an encyclopedia and a novel(i guess). i choose the world is flat.
then, i dont know why the salesman was surprise or maybe impress as he said "waa...you(as medic student)also read about management huh? good3"

so..what do you think about this?
normally i dont like to give my answer first. i would rather hear any opinion from my friends or other people...

blogging in english?? O,o

one day,my friend asked me to see her blog. i opened it eventually,and...its in english! all of it. not even one in malay...there also a novel. i thought it was just a copy-paste post. but later then she said it was her handwriting. wow! kinda impress came into my mind...i know her,she wasn't a BEN(bachelor in english) student. she was pharmacist. but she could write a blog in english without give up. well.... its a challenge for me...
